Male JIS₁ - Male British Pipe Tapered 90₂

Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) 30° are parallel pipe threads per JIS B 0202. Japanese JIS 30° flare connections are comparable to American SAE 37° flare connections in application and sealing principals. Yet, JIS 30° flare angle and dimensions are different with threads that are similar to BSPP. British Standard Pipe Tapered (BSPT) male thread will mate with a BSPT (tapered) female or a non-swivel BSPP (parallel) female. Similar to NPTF, the seal is made on the threads, but is not interchangeable with NPTF. Thread dope or PTFE tape can be used to provide additional sealing support.
