Brass Hose Ferrules offer an alternative to hose clamps. After crimping, the ferrule will provide a permanent clamping force on both the hose and fitting. The proper ferrule should fit easily over the hose. It is better to use a slightly oversized ferrule as an undersized ferrule may make inserting the barbed fitting difficult.
