Regular Helical Spring Washers, or Medium Helical Spring Lock Washers, are the most common style of lock washer used. They are designed to prevent loosening in vibrating applications. The circular coil grabs onto the head and material being fastened, creating a locking action. Regular series lock washers are designed to be used in applications in strength levels up to Grade 8.
