Ermetto, or Flareless Tube fittings are used to connect steel tubing to a flexible hose without flaring. A complete fitting has three components: the fitting, the compression sleeve, and the nut. Male thread is straight with a 24° inverted seat. The seal is made when the nut is tightened onto the fitting and the sleeve bites onto the tubing. Continental's crimp fittings provide maximum coupling retention on 1 and 2 braid hose as well as 4 and 6 spiral hose. Serrations penetrate the cover with a powerful bite into the wire reinforcement, resulting in even hose compression.
