British Standard Pipe Parallel thread seals on a 30° seat and chamfer or with a bonded seal. It will not mate with an NPSM fitting due to the different thread pitches. Commonly used in hydraulic systems from the U.K. or Japan. Continental's crimp fittings provide maximum coupling retention on 1 and 2 braid hose as well as 4 and 6 spiral hose. Serrations penetrate the cover with a powerful bite into the wire reinforcement, resulting in even hose compression.
