1-14 IN Hex Jam Nut Fine - Zinc Plated Steel Grade 2
Originally developed to be used with two nuts on top of each other to “jam” the bolt, Thin Nuts, or Half Nuts, are about half the thickness of Hex Nuts. With engineering advancements, the nuts’ function has changed. Jam Nuts are now applied to low-clearance applications that do not fit a normal Hex Nuts. Made with grade 2 steel and zinc plating for corrosion resistance. Fine threads are closely spaced to prevent loosening from vibration.
